We've only been in Rome for a day, and already the "When in Rome" puns are in heavy use. We made our ways in the morning from the hotel near the airport into the heart of Rome. Our monastery is just a block south of the Vatican. Some students have a view of the basilica from their rooms! After checking in we walked to see a movie about the history of Rome. It was really good, but many of us (myself included) dosed off for parts of it. We also walked over the the largest concrete dome in the world at the Pantheon and got our first taste of Italian gelato. From there we headed back to our hotel and continued with the student's art presentations. Tomorrow is the Vatican museum.
