NOTRE DAME AND THE EIFFEL TOWER

Our next stop was the cathedral of Notre Dame. From there we took a double-decker train to get to the Eiffel Tower. We found out once we arrived that the elevator to the top was closed for the month of January, so we took the stairs instead...lots and lots of stairs. The last picture shows the brave souls who climbed all the way up to the second platform, nearly 400 feet and 700 steps up. From the Eiffel Tower we headed to a local crepe restaurant and had an early dinner. Students did an amazing job pushing themselves to stay awake today to get through jet lag. We were back at the hotel by 5 pm for showers and an early night. Tomorrow we are headed to arguably the best art museum in the world, the Louvre.
