Today was our first full day in the beautiful city of Venice. We purchased all day water taxi passes and used them to explore this unique city. Our first stop was Murano where we had the opportunity to watch a glass blowing demonstration at The Cathedral of Glass. It was a beautiful studio located in a former church. We also explored several older churches on the island. From there we took a water taxi back to Venice and had a delicious pasta lunch picnic. Students enjoyed some free time around Saint Mark's Square and had to made their way back to the monastery in groups without adults! They did amazing on their own and are really becoming travelers. Several groups used their free time to shop for clothes for the opera tomorrow night.
