Today we took an hour-long bus ride out to the town of Eleusis, home of the sacred Eleusinian Mysteries. The secretive ceremony that took place here was said to have drastically altered participants consciousness, though little is known about what actually took place as participants were sworn to secrecy. Many students took the opportunity to do some self-reflection at this sacred space. We also had our first student led lesson presentations. When we got back to Athens students had some free time to do a little shopping.
