Wow, what a day! We started the morning by having an audience with the Pope. None of us touched his holiness, but we did receive a blessing from him. After that we walked over to the Vatican Museum and spent several hours there. We all spent time in the Sistine Chapel, though no photos were allowed. We had a late lunch and then I took a group of students up inside the dome of Saint Peter's for sunset. For our last night in Rome we walked to a beautiful historic district for dinner and gelato. Tomorrow we take a train for three nights in Venice.
